Apparatus for refining fibrous materials is disclosed, including first and second refining discs defining a refining space therebetween, a passageway for feeding fibrous material to said refining space from the outer surface of one of said refining discs, a funnel for feeding fibrous material to the outer surface of that refining disc at a first rate, and including an element mounted on the shaft on which said refining discs rotate for injecting the fibrous material into the passage at an increased velocity as compared to that rate. Preferably the element mounted on the shaft comprises a sleeve and includes an annular disc mounted on the sleeve and a plurality of radially projecting members affixed to the face of the annular disc facing the passage through the refining disc.

The invention relates to devices for grinding volcanic materials. and is intended for use in the pulp and paper industry.
A device for grinding a fibrous material in the form of shavings is known, which contains two grinding discs mounted on a drive shaft with the possibility of rotation in opposite directions, one of which is provided with loading openings, a funnel for feeding material into the loading zone and means for moving it to loading opening m tl ..
However, this device is characterized by an insufficient feed rate of the fibrous material and, consequently, a violation of the flow of steam by the flow of steam.
The purpose of the invention is to simplify the design and improve the uniformity of the material feed.
This goal is achieved by the fact that in a device for grinding fibrous material in the form of chips, containing installed in the housing

10 into the loading zone and means for moving it to the loading openings, the means for moving the material consists of a sleeve rigidly mounted on the shaft, one end of which lies adjacent to the end surface of the disk with the loading openings and carries the other end of the impeller with radial blades having a triangle shape in cross section.

The device for rizmol fibrous material contains two grinding discs 1 and 2 mounted rotatably in opposite. the positive sides on the respective drive shafts 3 and t, which are driven by motors (not shown), the balls are installed in the bearings 5 and 6. The grinding disks 1 and 2 are installed in the housing 7. The grinding disk 1 is equipped with loading holes 8, intended for to feed material into the gap between the grinding discs. The housing is connected to a funnel 9 for loading material. The means for moving the material into the loading zone consists of a sleeve 10 rigidly mounted on the shaft 3, one end of which is adjacent to the end surface of the disk 1, and its other end carries the impeller AND with radial blades 12 having a triangle shape in cross section. Their number can vary from 2 to 20, preferably using blades. The angle d (see Fig. 1) of the blades is preferably B-170. Their surfaces may be flat, concave or convex.
The device works as follows.
The sleeve 10 with the impeller M rotates together with the grinding disk KOM 1. The chips fed through the funnel 9 are hit by the blades 12 and thereby move through the holes 8 into the gap between the disks 1 and 2 where the material is crushed. The crushed material enters the gap between the disks 1 and 2 and the walls of the housing 7 and is removed from the housing through the discharge opening.
This device is simple in its design and allows to obtain a uniform flow of material and stable operation of the device.

A device for grinding fibrous material in the form of chips, containing two grinding discs mounted in a housing on drive shafts for rotation in opposite directions, one of which is provided with loading openings, a funnel for feeding material into the loading area and means for moving it to the loading openings It is obvious that, in order to simplify the design and increase the uniformity of the material supply, the means for moving the material consists of a sleeve rigidly fixed on the shaft, one horse which abuts against the end disc gruzochnymi surface within the apertures and the other end carries an impeller with radial vanes having a cross-sectional shape of a triangle.
